It’s been a while since I shared a scrapbooking layout here but if you are following me on instagram you probably saw my work as a guest designer for Like for Ever last month.
Anyways, I finally found some time to do another layout and for this one I got inspired by a moodboard I saw on Scraps n’ Pieces. That photo with the orange flowers on the blue background really spoke to me so that’s how I got started.
I went for a mixed media approach, playing with some watercolors on the background. To make it more automnal I decided to use a leaf stamp and stamp it with a very light grey ink on white paper. This way there are some details showing without making it look too busy.
For the rest of my embellishing I used some flowers I cut from a paper by Amy Tangerine and added some details with tiny wood veneer hearts and sequins.
I also used some gold thread behind my main elements. To finish it off, as always, I added some extra splatters with black ink. Here you can check a couple more close ups:
