Hello scrappy friends! I’m back with another scrapbook layout to share with you.
I created this layout with a kit I put together from Scrapbook.gr. You can find the full product list if you scroll at the end of this page. I was beyond excited to receive this package cause I included two things I’ve always wanted to use, Ranger Texture Paste and the Tim Holtz stencil called “Scribbles”.
The main focus on this layout was to experiment with my new mixed media goodies so I decided to work on a very simple composition. I started using the packaging technique with some distress inks on white cardstock. If you are not familiar with the packaging technique is basically grabbing a piece of plastic packaging, adding some ink on it, spraying with some water to add moisture if necessary and smudge it onto your surface. It gives really beautiful watercolor-like results.
After that was dry I took some of the texture paste and I mixed it with a bit of distress inks in Spun Sugar and Scattered Straw. Then I spread it using the gorgeous rose stencil I mentioned before.
I layered my photo on a Heidi Swapp paper and embellished around it using vellum and acetate ephemera pieces from the Crate Paper Confetti collection.
The “celebrate” piece I used as my title was also part of that ephemera pack. Once I was done embellishing I decided to mount my layout on this beautiful striped paper also from the Crate Paper Confetti line.
To finish it off, I added a couple of splatters using Glimmer Mists in Gold and Mint Julep.
