Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you the latest project I created for the Cut Shoppe blog.
I’ve been making a few different artsy projects with my cut files lately so I decided to continue with that and show you one of my most favorite techniques about using cut files, creating my own stencils. I use a bunch of my favorite background cut files and cut them with my Silhouette machine. The material I use is just laminating sheets. I pass them through my laminator so the sheets stick together and get sturdy, then I put them on my cut mat and create my stencils.
So far I didn’t have any issues with the sheets peeling off but even if that happens I can always cut a fresh copy of my stencil. I intentionally don’t clean the stencils when I use them with acrylic paints cause I feel that the extra layer of paint makes the stencil stronger.
This art journal spread is all about creating. I decided to participate in the #ShowUsYourMedia challenge by Dina Wakley and Ranger so I used all my favorite colors and journaled about the reasons that motivate me to keep creating.
