Hello scrappy friends, I really hope you are having a wonderful weekend already.
Today I want to share with you a very simple layout I created using a bunch of tiny scraps. All the products used for this layout can be found on theinkroad.com (you can find the full product list at the end of this post). If you decide to place an order with them don’t forget to use the code “ZINIA10” to get a 10% discount.
I’ve seen really beautiful creations using branding strips of pattern paper or generally thin stripes but what about those tiny scraps? I usually have a lot of small scraps from my 6×6 pads and I just don’t want to throw them away. Well I thought it be fun to punch out some half inch circles out of them and use them on my background.
You can really used whatever size punch you have but I thought half inch circles will look very nice and delicate, and also will work great for the smallest scrap pieces you may have.
Once I was done punching, I arranged my circles and started sticking them down using some foam dots to add some more dimension and interest.
And that was basically the “hardest” part of putting this page together. All that’s left to do is add a few embellishments. I completely forgot to mention that the paper pad I used for my circles was from the Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine collection. This collection is really full of beautiful bright colors and it matched perfectly with some ephemera pieces from the Simple Stories Carpe Diem collection.
Since the background is already very colorful and interesting I only used a few pieces to embellish. The black phrase sticker is from the Studio Calico Goldie collection.
Here are some more close-up photos of the final layout:
