Hello everyone! Today the Get Messy creative team is getting together in a fun blog hop. There’s no specific topic for this blog hop so going through the different stop you can read some tutorials, general thoughts on art journaling, inspiration pages and so on.
Also by leaving comments on the blogs of this hop you are entering to win an annual membership on Get Messy Art Journal! The more blogs you visit and the more comments you leave, the more chances you’ll have to win.
I decided to use this opportunity to share a recap of the Get Messy season that just ended. Season of Introspection was really amazing. It turned out to be one of my top favorite seasons yet. Through the season I managed to keep up and create at least a spread each week. It’s a really therapeutic process to just sit down, look in your soul and try to recreate what you see on a piece of paper.
The most challenging part of this season was to find different ways to represent myself on the page. I didn’t want to use photos nor to try and draw my face so I ended up representing myself with things I love and in one of the spread, I just used a girl figure from a stamp I had. I obviously look nothing like this adorable stamp but I think it was a lovely way to represent my innocent and child-like side.
I’m already excited for the next season and can’t wait to create some more pages in my journal.
So if you want to win an annual membership for Get Messy Art Journal, leave a comment telling me how you represent yourself in your art journal. Do you use stamps, photos, drawing? What do you prefer?
Your next stop is Vanessa, a truly amazing an inspirational art journaler and you definitely don’t want to miss her blog post! You should really go through every single blog on this hop cause all the ladies that participate are extremely talented!
