I’m finally getting back on track with my projects and I found some spare time to share with you a layout I put together last month. Sadly I was working during the night and I couldn’t film but I will give you a brief walk-through.
The main idea was to use my leftover bits from older packs. Most of the things on this layout were from Paper Camellia kits or grab bags although I can’t exactly recall where did everything come from.
Since I wanted to use some Crate Paper rub-ons I felt really inspired by a technique I saw on Two Peas in a Bucket channel by Wilna Furstenberg (here). You are basically putting down on your page a bunch of rub-ons and then lightly paint over them. It’s better if you add a good amount of water in your paint for this. When the color reaches the rub-on, it will just go around and work as a resist.
I tried to match the embellishments with the colors I used on the background and added a bunch of matching enamel dots. Here are some close-ups.
