Hello crafty friends!
Today I wanted to share with you a simple and fun idea. I’m generally a hoarder, I can’t trash anything that is potentially usable so I end up with tons of tiny pieces and scraps. Inspired by a challenge by Paper Camellia during NSD events I decided to use my little scraps to make some cards every now and then. You can check some more scrap cards I did in my gallery here.
Anyway let’s get to it! I had some really small pieces from a layout I made so I put them down on a piece of paper arranging them randomly. Then I used a light coat of gesso to make them blend together.
(here’s the process video, make sure to scroll down in this post for more details and photos)
For the sentiment I just used some teal foam alphas by Amy Tangerine. I actually used my hairdryer on the alphas inspired by a tutorial on Jennifer McGuire‘s channel where she uses her heat tool to shrink foam die-cut embellishments (check the video here). Then I used a little gesso on the alphas cause they were a bit too bright for the rest of the card.
That’s all, super simply and easy and mainly used scrap pieces. Here are a couple more photos:
Hope you enjoyed and got inspired. Happy crafting 🙂
