Hello everyone! I’m back again with another fun project to share with you!
For the month of February I created a pink and teal kit from scrapbooking.gr filled with a bunch of mixed media goodies. I’m really obsessed with this color palette and I think it gives a beautiful twist to the usual Valentine’s reds and pinks.
The main idea was to created a mixed media mini journal that I can gift to a friend of mine and help her get started with memory keeping. It will be a small pre-decorated album so she won’t get overwhelmed with all the supplies and different media.
I cut my papers (plus some white cardstock pieces) to 4’x6′ and then I just started playing around with the different paints, mists and stencils. I tried to make every page unique and different.
I highly recommend that you check the whole process in the video if you are interested but just to highlight a few things I did: I used the packaging technique with my distress stain spray, I used my blending tool like a “stamp” and made circle marks on the page, I layered multiple colors through a stencil to create different tones and I lifted some color through a stencil using a baby wipe.
I probably sounds really confusing if you just read it like that but I promise if you check the video it will make way more sense, it’s really hard to describe my process in words so that’s why I made a video to go with this post.
Here’s a flip-through of the whole minibook:
