This week over at Studio L2e blog, all CT members have a challenge to create a project using only one stamp set. I was really excited about this challenge until I started working on my post. Soon I realized that it was way harder than I expected as every time I was looking at the stamp set that was assigned to me I was thinking how great it will look combined with that other set. The stamp set I’ve been working on is “Beautiful Life” and it’s a really great set to use both in your planner and in your project life.
So anyway, I decided to make an additional post over here in my blog and show you some of the little experiments I did, combining “Beautiful Life” with other sets. This way you can get some more ideas on how to use with other sets you may have or if you already own a “Beautiful Life” set, you can see what other sets work nice with it and go grab them as well.
The most versatile pieces of this set are definitely the label stamps. I seriously can’t get enough of them. Here I used it along with a sentiment from “Love Note” set for decorating reasons (also that day my boyfriend’s vacation starts so it also serves as a lovely reminder).
Another way I love using these labels is for small to-do lists. I just stamp a bunch of little icons from “Iconic” and “Iconic Activities” sets (of course any icons from any other stamp set will work great too) for some routine to-dos.
Another combination I think looks really great is using one of the “Right Here Right Now” boxes with one of the beautiful handwritten word sentiments from “Beautiful Life”. Most of the won’t fit perfectly inside the borders but I actually like it better with a line popping out a little.
Now on to the smaller words from the set. Nothing matches with mornings better than coffee. This little stamp set I used here was actually a freebie for people that placed their orders during release day on March. Sadly you can’t order it but if you got one with your March release order then here’s a way to use it :).
Here I paired the “night” stamp with the lovely banner from “Iconic Outlines” (one of my all time favorite sets). I also stamped the “afternoon” sentiment on top of the washi stripes from “Creative Plans”. It’s a tight fit but it still works (sorry I don’t have a picture of that but I totally forgot to take one).
Last but not least, I used this big box from “Iconic Borders” to stamp two word sentiments inside! You can pretty much fit any two words you want but for this specific example I used the “beginning” from “Beautiful Life” and the “vacation” from “Travel Plans”.
I hope I gave you some ideas on how to use the stamps you have or helped you decide which ones to grab next :). Happy planning and stamping, or better happy planner stamping!
