Hello scrappy pals! Today I’m going to share with you a layout I created for theinkroad.com. I’m so thrilled to own some bits of the Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection. Lara spoiled me with a bunch of papers and embellishments and I had to start playing with them right away.
By the way let me remind you that you can use the code “ZINIA10” at theinkroad.com to get 10% discount for any purchase!
It was hard to decide what to use first cause every single item in this collection is absolutely gorgeous. One of my top favorite papers in the collection is the painted floral one. It just looks stunning so I decided to fussy cut all the flowers it has. I even cut the ones that were “cut” at the edges to layer them under the rest.
I decided to use another pattern paper as my base instead of white cardstock because I really loved the subtle look of the watercolor backgrounds. Before I start placing anything on the page, I sprinkled some splatters of Heidi Swapp Color shine and once that was dry I started building a wreath with the flowers I cut out.
You can create that base design by using two sheets of paper and it looks really beautiful. To embellish it further I used bits from every single type of embellishment I own from the Fancy Free collection. I added a couple of the wood veneer pieces, some buttons, puffy stickers and tags.
I put my photos on the wreath and this is actually a great design if you want to use multiple photos on a page. I left some space in the center to add my journaling and finished the page by adding some more splatters to stain the flower layers a little bit and bring everything together.
