Hello scrappy friends!
Today I have a really fun layout to share with you! This one is created with the kit I put together at scrapbooking.gr for March and you can find the full list of the products at the end of this post.
What I loved about this layout is that it’s super quick and easy to make if you have the right products. I also loved the fact that for the first time I got to play with a die-cut paper! So let’s take a look shall we?
So while I was browsing around the different products to see what to grab in my kit, I came a cross this chevron die-cut paper. It’s by Kaisercraft and I was super excited about it cause I’ve always wanted to play around with die-cut papers but as I don’t own a die-cut machine, I never had the chance before.
To give some more interest to the die-cut piece, I used some acrylic paint behind some of the arrows in different colors. I kept the color palette in pastel shades cause I wanted to create a very subtle look. For the top half of my page, I started by adding some texture paste using a Tim Holtz stencil.
I created my main embellishment by fussy cutting a huge floral piece out of a pattern paper. Actually they are two pieces but the second one is small compared to the other.
The B-side of the floral paper was this beautiful dark grey/brown with the white polka dots so I had to grab a stripe and use it somewhere.
For my title I used a wood veneer pieces that I painted with white acrylic paint and then I just added a few phrase stickers I had in my stash to add some more details.
The final touch was to add a few white splatters with my Distress stain spray.
It’s a really simple layout to create but at the same time it looks absolutely beautiful and kinda artistic I’d say. I really really loved the result.
